MEDFORD, MA — The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development has awarded Medford-based company BOND a $243,600 training grant. The grant from the Workforce Training Fund will allow BOND to train 201 workers and add 20 jobs by 2021.

"Awarding this grant to a Medford company gives Medford residents the advantage of being trained by a well-known company, close to home. BOND trains men and women on everything from construction to restoration," Mayor Stephanie M. Burke said in a statement.

The Workforce Training grant is funded by contributions made by employers to unemployment insurance. Robert Murray, president of BOND Brothers Inc., said his company is "honored" to receive the grant.
