Medford GLX Tree Removal: Noise, Sight Impacts
Contractors will begin work on Monday, May 7. Here's the areas that will be impacted.

MEDFORD, MA – Tree clearing and stump removal will begin this Monday, May 7 along the Green Line right-of-way. Work will start north of the College Avenue Bridge in Medford and focus on the east and north side of the alignment heading south to Lechmere Station.
The hours of operation are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for approximately 60-90 days. The MBTA will provide advanced notice should this schedule change.
This work will expand the space in the right-of-way to create a safe work zone for for construction and transit. According to MassDOT, there will be some noise impacts from chainsaws and vehicles carrying debris and visual impacts due to the loss of trees.
