Medford Health Team Hosting Cancer Screening and Prevention Session
The event is taking place Thursday night.
MEDFORD, MA — Residents looking for information about cancer screening and prevention can attend a city-listed community health session Thursday night at the West Medford Community Center.
The event, titled “Learn About Cancer Screening and Prevention,” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at 111 Arlington St., according to the City of Medford’s official events calendar and Medford Community Engagement Team page.
The session is listed through the city’s Health Department, Office of Prevention and Outreach, which runs Medford Connects and the Community Engagement Team. The team says it helps connect residents to services including MassHealth enrollment, SNAP benefits, rental assistance and other supports.

The city’s Community Engagement Team page describes its work as focused on connecting residents with services and strengthening outreach to different parts of the community, including families and youth, older adults, people with disabilities, immigrant residents and people facing food insecurity.
While the city’s listing does not provide a detailed agenda for Thursday’s cancer screening session, the topic carries clear local public health relevance: screening and prevention programs can help residents understand when to seek care, what resources may be available, and how to navigate health services.
