SOMERVILLE, MA – A Medford man faces an assault charge after an alleged botched armed robbery in Somerville last week, police said. Brian Barry, 32, allegedly pulled a knife on a store clerk and demanded "all the money from the lottery," police said.

The robbery was reported around 9:40 p.m. Jan. 3, after Barry fled the store, according to the police report.
