Medford Man Drove Stolen Pickup in Fatal Crash: Police
Valery Labossiere has been charged with vehicular homicide after going 97 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone.

GROTON, CT - Police said one man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after a Thursday night collision with a stolen pickup truck driven by a Medford man.
The incident occurred after a man, identified by police as 27-year-old Valery Labossiere, stole a 2013 Chevy Silverado out of Vermont and sped through Groton, according to NBC Connecticut. Police said he was going 97 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone on Interstate 95 North.
Labossiere then left the highway and crashed into a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Fox 61 reported. The crash occurred on Route 184 east near King’s Highway in Groton after going through a red light.

Labossiere was charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving.
The Mitsubishi was driven by Taylor Marie Wilkinson, 20, of Groton, NBC Connecticut reported. Police said her injuries are not life-threatening, and she was taken to L&M Hospital for treatment along with Labossiere.

Deion Anthony Pittman, 22, of Waterford was a passenger in the Mitsubishi, Fox 61 reported. He was taken to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar with serious injuries, and succumbed to his injuries Friday morning.
