SOMERVILLE, MA — A Medford man is facing a gun charge following a traffic stop in Somerville. On Friday, May 3 around 6 p.m., a red Honda Accord was pulled over after it went through a red light at the intersection of Beacon and Washington streets, according to the police report.
Police identified the driver as 18-year-old Jeovani Robinson, of Medford, and his passenger as 20-year-old Robert Favreau, of Cambridge. While standing by the driver's side door, an officer saw Robinson slide his feet back in what appeared to be an attempt to hide something under the seat, police said.
A member of the narcotics unit told the officer to use caution around Favreau, who is known to carry guns, according to police. When asked, Robinson told the officer there were no weapons in the car, police said.
