Medford Mayor Appoints Community Media Center Station Manager
Patrick Gordon comes with several years' experience in community television in the area.
MEDFORD, MA – The Medford Community Media Center has a new station manager. Mayor Stephanie M. Burke this week announced the appointment of Patrick Gordon as manager of the public access station and community media center at the Medford Vocational Technical High School.
Gordon most recently worked as a lead community television coordinator at Brooksby Village, where he led the day-to-day operations of the in-house community television studio. He received the STARS employee of the month award six times in four years.
Gordon also worked as the director of programming and new media for the Malden Accession Television station, where he was responsible for maintaining and managing content across three cable television channels.

"We are thrilled to welcome Patrick as our Station Manager for the community media center," Burke said in a statement. "Patrick’s expertise in multiple capacities managing media and technology will add tremendous value for both our students as well as members of the community utilizing the station."
In his new role, Gordon will work cooperatively with an advisory board of the directors to maintain operations, train studio staff and provide programming and studio services to the Medford Public Education Government (PEG) Channel on a consistent basis.

"I am extremely excited to begin the next step in my career as Station Manager for Medford Community Media and the City of Medford. For the past twenty years I have worked in community television and it has been a professional goal of mine to manage a community television station and media center," Gordon said in a statement. "Medford Community Media is full of potential and I look forward to using my experience and talent as a media producer to bring it to fruition!"
