Medford Resident to be Arraigned in Connection to Fatal Shooting

Rooslin Altidor, 26, of Medford is scheduled to be arraigned in connection with the death of 31-year-old Rasaun Nichols.

A Medford resident will be arraigned Monday in connection to a fatal shooting in Cambridge last week, the Middlesex Distict Attorney’s office says.

Rooslin Altidor, 26, of Medford is scheduled to be arraigned in connection with the death of 31-year-old Rasaun Nichols.

Police say Nichols was struck while inside his car after several gunshots were fired near 119 Windsor Street in Cambridge on August 12. Nichols was later found severely wounded in his car on Main Street in the area of Kendall Square. He later died due to his injuries.

The charges Altidor is scheduled to be arraigned on are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

This incident remains an open and active investigation by the Cambridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
