Medford Spring School Calendar 2018: Prom, Graduation, Last Day

MEDFORD, MA – Medford students are almost in the home stretch of the school year. That's particularly excited for upperclassmen, who have prom and graduation to look forward to.

The last scheduled day of school is June 22; that has seven snow days built into it, so it shouldn't change. The end-of-year festivities kick off with the Junior Prom on May 11. That's followed by the Senior Prom Thursday, May 31.

It all culminates in graduation on Wednesday, June 6. See below for more important school dates, and additional information about prom and graduation:

• May 9, 10: Class of 2018 cap and gown sales during both lunches. Cost is $17.
• May 11: Junior Prom, 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the Woburn Hilton. No student attending prom will be dismissed prior to 12:30 p.m.
• May 16: Early release, middle and high schools
• May 28: Memorial Day, no school
• May 31: Senior Prom, 7-11 p.m. at the Hotel Sonesta in Cambridge. All seniors will be dismissed after their period 3 exam that day.
• June 6: Graduation, 6 p.m. in the Gantcher Center at Tufts University
• June 13: Early release, middle and high schools (three more early releases are expected to be scheduled)
• June 22: Last scheduled day of school (Ed. Note 4/30: Last day of school is now June 20)
