Medford Traffic Restrictions To Get Review After 6 Months

Officials will consider potential changes to the Winthrop Street and Lawrence Road restrictions, which have been in place for six months.

MEDFORD, MA — Officials will review traffic restrictions that have been in place for the past six months at an upcoming Traffic Commission meeting. The meeting will take place Tuesday, March 10 at 2 p.m. 21 James St.

Officials will discuss cut-through traffic in the neighborhood as drivers try to avoid the traffic light at the intersection of Winthrop Street and Lawrence Road. The no left turn on Winthrop Street at Woodside Road, Whitney road and Whittier Road and the no right turn on Lawrence Road at Blakely Road, Ramshead Road, Damon Road and Lincoln Road will also be discussed.

The restrictions are in place from 7-9 a.m. Monday through Friday. Officials will consider whether they should remain, be modified or removed.
