Medford Traffic: When Will Cradock Bridge Work Be Done?

The project is over 80 percent complete, according to transportation officials.

MEDFORD, MA – The Cradock Bridge rehabilitation project is almost complete, according to a March 23 update from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Work on the bridge includes replacing the approach roadways, sidewalks and existing bridge structure while maintaining the original stone masonry arch bridge spans.

Utilities will be relocated within utility bays on the new bridge structure so as to remain out of sight, according to MassDOT. A temporary bridge was constructed to accommodate northbound traffic, and the Rt. 16 westbound off-ramp will remain closed until the project is completed.

Work is 85.6 percent complete, transportation officials said. The project has cost $10.79 million of its $12.8 million budget. It is expected to be completed by Nov. 4 of this year.
