Medford's Cradock Bridge: All Lanes Open

MassDOT crews reached a milestone Thursday as work on the bridge nears completion.

MEDFORD, MA – Construction on the Cradock Bridge reached a milestone Thursday, completing work on the two northbound travel lanes of the newly built eastern portion of the bridge, according to a MassDOT spokesperson.

All travel lanes in both directions have been completed and are now open. Future work will include sidewalk reconstruction on the eastern part of the bridge, removal of the temporary bridge, final paving and landscaping, which will continue into the fall.

The temporary bridge that was constructed to accommodate northbound traffic is now closed. The Rt. 16 westbound off-ramp will remain closed until the project is done.
