MEDFORD, Mass. — Network Health, a nonprofit health plan that provides access to high-quality, comprehensive health care coverage for more than 215,000 Massachusetts residents, announced today that it has appointed Pamela Cardaci to director of integrated care management.
In her new role, Cardaci will oversee all care management referral functions, including clinical population-based programs for medical, behavioral health, and social care management. Additionally, she will promote effective use and monitoring of health care resources.
“Pam is a natural fit to lead Network Health’s integrated care management team,” said Mary Jane McKendry, Network Health’s vice president of clinical affairs. “Her extensive health care expertise and results-driven approach to care management will continue to develop Network Health’s industry-leading integrated care management model and help improve member health outcomes.”

Cardaci has more than 40 years’ experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining Network Health, she served as vice president, clinical oversight at New York County Health Services Review Organization/MedReview in New York, N.Y. She also served as senior director of utilization management at Fallon Community Health Plan in Worcester, Mass., clinical liaison to patient financial services at Children’s Hospital in Boston, and director of Health Plans, Inc./Care Management Services, Inc. in Westborough, Mass.
Cardaci earned her registered nursing degree from Mt. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing, and a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Almeda University, online. She is a certified managed care nurse and a certified professional in utilization management. Additionally, she is a member of the National Association of Managed Care Nurses and the organization’s research institute.
