New Pedestrian Crosswalk Signage Installed
The City of Medford said it has installed new signage throughout the city to cut down on distracted driving-related incidents.

MEDFORD, MA - New pedestrian crosswalk signage has been installed in several locations throughout Medford.
The City of Medford said Friday in a release that signs were "placed strategically next to the crosswalk to encourage drivers to use caution, and stop for pedestrians entering the crosswalk."
Medford hopes to reduce the number of distracted driving incidents that result in accidents and injuries.

"Our focus is to ensure that pedestrians are safe and that drivers are abiding by the law when a pedestrian is in the crosswalk," said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke. "It is very important that the community understands that safety is a priority and we will continue to make improvements to crosswalk signage in areas of concern."
