Police: Robbery Reported Near Tufts Didn't Happen

On Tuesday night, a male student at Tufts University reported to police that he was robbed by two men on Packard Avenue in Somerville. The student said the men stole his laptop, cell phone and wallet and took off on foot.

However, on Thursday, Tufts Police updated their safety alert to students and said the alleged incident didn’t happen:

“A follow up investigation has determined that no crime took place and no suspects are being sought. The investigation into this incident has concluded.”
