Pot, Cocaine, Guns Found After Caller Tips Police: Medford PD

Medford Police arrested three young men after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle.

MEDFORD, MA — Police said they recovered two guns, multiple bags of cocaine and marijuana, and a large amount of cash in a Tuesday night bust that started with a resident calling about a few young men smoking in their car.

Police received a call at about 9:15 p.m. from a resident saying a car with New York plates had been parked on Piggott Road. The caller said he thought the men were smoking marijuana because the car was full of smoke.

Upon arrival, police smelled marijuana. While speaking with one of the passengers, an officer saw what appeared to be a pistol near the driver's foot, police said. Police removed the men from the car and recovered the gun. Police found a second gun in the pocket of one of the passengers. None of the men had a license to carry in Massachusetts.
