Recovering In Medford To Launch This Week
Health officials in Medford created the initiative to support those struggling with addiction, as well as their family and friends.

MEDFORD, MA – Recovering in Medford, a joint effort between the Board of Health and the Office of Prevention and Outreach to support those impacted by addiction, will launch this week. The first event, an educational forum with non-profit The Phoenix, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. at Medford City Hall.
The Phoenix is a national organization that offers free fitness programming – indoor rock climbing, yoga, cross-fit, kick boxing and tai chi – to anyone who has been substance-free for at least 48 hours.
Recovering in Medford will offer a series of events to provide knowledge, information and guidance to those struggling with substance abuse, as well as their family and friends.
