Traffic Alert: Stretch of Route 16 Down to One Lane Each Way This Weekend
Construction on the Woods Memorial Bridge over the Malden River is causing the lane closures.
The stretch of Route 16 (Revere Beach Parkway) on the Woods Memorial Bridge over the Malden River will be down from three to one lane in each direction this weekend because of construction on the bridge, according to the state.
The lane closures on the Medford/Everett line will be in effect from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27.
The state Department of Transportation is asking drivers to seek alternate routes, if possible, during this time.

Vehicles weighing more than 10 tons that are usually restricted to the right travel lane in each direction may temporarily use the available lane.
