Melrose Orchestra To Share Its Instruments With Young Minds Before Family Concert
Attendees can get familiar with the instruments before the concert begins.
MELROSE, MA — The Melrose Symphony Orchestra is holding a unique family-friendly event this weekend as its season enters its final months.
The Orchestra’s Family Concert is scheduled for this coming Sunday afternoon on Sunday, March 29 at the group’s Memorial Hall headquarters on 590 Main St. Before the music begins however, young attendees will get a chance to get an up-close look at the instruments that make the melodies happen. The “Instrument Petting Zoo” is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m., 90 minutes before the concert kicks off.
“We’ve designed a fast-paced, 35-minute performance specifically for families, featuring iconic favorites from Star Wars, Wicked, and more,” the Orchestra said about the concert. “It's the perfect environment for young listeners to experience live music for the first time.”
