Milford School Gets DA Grant For Safe End-Of-Year Events
The grants are meant to help fund safe post-prom or post-graduation events aimed at deterring impaired driving and other risky behavior.

MILFORD, MA — Milford High School is receiving support from the Worcester County District Attorney's Office to help students safely celebrate after prom and graduation.
Milford High School received a $1,200 Ending the Negligence of Drunk Driving grant from the DA’s office, the school district shared in a social media post on Tuesday. ENDD grants are meant to help fund safe post-prom or post-graduation events aimed at deterring impaired driving and other risky behavior.
“We want to thank Worcester County DA Joseph Early’s office for the generous donation of $1200 from the ENDD Grant to the After Prom Party Committee,” Milford Public Schools wrote in the announcement. “The support of this amazing event to help keep our kids safe is very much appreciated!”

Milford High School Principal Josh Otlin, Superintendent Craig Consigli, Melanie Figueroa, Chair of the APP, and the APP Leadership Team personally accepted the donation from DA Early.
The Worcester County DA’s Office has described the grant program as funding adult-organized, drug- and alcohol-free alternatives to the high-risk activities that can follow end-of-year celebrations for high school students.
