• 12th Human Case of West Nile Virus in Massachusetts; Risk Level Raised To High In Milton, Quincy (thequincysun.com) — Milton's West Nile virus risk level has just been raised to "high," meaning local residents should take extra care to avoid mosquito bites and remove standing water around their homes. State health officials report widespread WNV-positive mosquito samples and ongoing EEE activity, and they urge Milton residents to use EPA-registered repellents, wear protective clothing, and follow online risk updates through the Massachusetts Arbovirus Surveillance page.
   

• WalletHub rates best small cities in U.S. See where Canton and Massillon rank (kentucky.com) — Milton earned a spot in WalletHub's top 10 small cities nationwide, highlighting its strong overall livability compared with more than 1,300 peers. The study weighed affordability, education, health, quality of life, and safety, with other Massachusetts towns like Lexington and Arlington also scoring highly. Canton and Massillon, Ohio, were the main focus but ranked much lower overall.
