2 NNHS Seniors Awarded Bullough's Pond Association Scholarships

Bullough’s Pond Association Scholarships Awarded to Davis-Moran and Lau


May 28, 2020 - The Board of Directors of the Bullough’s Pond Association are delighted to announce Newton North High School graduating seniors Emily Davis-Moran and Roxanne Lau are the winners of the 2020 Bullough’s Pond Association Scholarship.
The Bullough’s Pond Association sponsors two $500 scholarships annually, each to be awarded to a high school senior who lives, or attends high school, in Newton. The scholarship honors students who have a demonstrated record of academic interest and achievement in studies related to the environment, and/or active environmental volunteer work in the City of Newton, particularly volunteer work contributing to the care of Bullough’s Pond in Newtonville.

Emily Davis-Moran has demonstrated commitment to the environment through her participation in the NNHS Environmental Science program, the NNHS Envirothon, the Science Olympiad Team, and by volunteering on invasive plant pulls. Roxanne Lau has demonstrated commitment to the environment through her studies and by her leadership in the NNHS Outdoors & Hiking Club. Congratulations to Emily and Roxanne!
