DeSimone & Vazquez Join Boys & Girls Club's Board

Over the years, thousands of young people have gravitated towards John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club as a place to learn, play, and grow. Recent years have seen a particularly robust growth pattern both in terms of program offerings and budgetary expansion. Much of this can be attributed to the Club’s energetic, all volunteer, Board of Directors, made up of influential individuals ingrained in the surrounding community. The Board is pleased to welcome two new members, Lisa Vazquez and Michelle DeSimone.

Lisa is a West Newton resident and a Club parent of twins. In her professional life, she is an Investment Advisor with Partners HealthCare. Lisa is deeply committed to helping the community and in particular the Club. Last year, Lisa ran the Boston Marathon for the Club and helped raise much needed funds to support our work.

Michelle is also a West Newton resident and her children attended the Club when they were young. Michelle was most recently a member of the Board of Directors of the Wellesley Historical Society. In her professional life, Michelle is Vice President of Private Banking with the Needham Bank.

The mission of the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club is to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
