Honda Village Sponsors “Friday Night Lights” Game
Newton North High School will host a week of special evening games

The Newton North Tigers will face off against the Natick Redhawks for the 8th annual Friday Night Lights football game on Friday, October 18th at Newton North High School under the bright lights supplied by Honda Village of Newton. Local Vietnam Veterans will be honored before the game and will join Mayor Ruthanne Fuller for the coin toss at 6:00pm. This fun-filled night will feature giveaways and other pre-game festivities as well as halftime entertainment.
Newton North’s field was built without lights, leaving the team unable to host evening games until Honda Village began supplying them with state-of-the-art spotlights. This year, the lights will be set up for the week of October 14th – 18th, allowing Newton North’s other sports teams to host their own evening home games. The Varsity Girls Soccer team will play Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30pm; Varsity Boys Soccer at Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm; and Varsity Girls Field Hockey at Thursday, October 17th at 6:30pm before the week culminates with the Varsity football game on Friday night.
Honda Village is also sponsoring three pre-game team meals leading up to the Friday Night Lights event. The football team, cheerleading squad, and coaches will enjoy a hearty dinner while bonding and connecting with NNHS alumnus Carl Pasquarosa, General Manager of Honda Village of Newton.
