NASCAR Racer & Brain Tumor Survivor Matt Tifft Supports NBTS
NASCAR Racer Matt Tifft Champions Brain Cancer Awareness w/National Brain Tumor Society, which is based in Newton.

Matt Tifft drove the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, on Saturday, July 21 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Lakes Region 200 placing fifth. At the event, he partnered with the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) by donating his car wrapping to NBTS to create awareness for the nonprofit and its mission to find treatments, and ultimately a cure for brain tumor
In July 2016, Tifft underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor he discovered earlier in the year while getting a back injury checked out. Since his recovery, he has been an ambassador to NBTS – serving as a major donor, ambassador and a public policy advocate.
“For the second consecutive year I’m proud to support the National Brain Tumor Society, a nonprofit that has been incredibly supportive of me and my family,” said Tifft. “Hopefully the visibility created at this race weekend will help support brain tumor patients who are newly diagnosed and in treatment, and bring broader awareness to let people know that recovery to full-speed is possible.”
