New Art Exhibit Fills the Walls at NewTV
Eight Newton artists explore the still life format in this latest exhibit.

A new Newton Open Studios exhibit recently opened at the Needham Street television studio featuring eight local artists who explore the still life format.
The exhibit features pieces that "perch in unusual places, occasionally verge on abstraction, and examine unexpected objects," leaving the viewer with a new perspective on the boundaries of the still life genre.

The display is the second installment of the Small Stage: Still Life exhibit. The first half, which featured five NOS artists, was on display at NewTV in May and June.

A wine and cheese reception for the new exhibit was held at NewTV studios on July 18.
This exhibit is certainly not the first in NewTV's history; over the last couple of years.
The Small Stage: Still Life, Part II exhibit will be on display at NewTV through August 20 and members of the public can view the art Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sunday, noon - 6 p.m.
