New Art Center is now offering its spring 2020 classes online! Register now for a variety of classes including: Beginning Drawing: Thursday, April 2 to Thursday, June 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Drawn to Paint: Thursday, April 2 to Thursday, May 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. These remote learning classes are filling quickly, so register today here. Join Amherst Early Music this Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, for four online-class sessions at 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Classes include Telemann Fantasias for Flute and Playing from Early Notation. Enjoy Cappella Clausura's beautiful performances of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel’s cantatas. Fanny wrote her extraordinary and timely “Cholera” cantata in 1831 to commemorate that year's epidemic in Berlin, so Cappella Clausura is particularly pleased to be able to share it with you now. Newton Nomadic Theater is hosting “Poems on a Sunday Night” on Sunday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m.streaming live from their Facebook page. Send your favorite poem to JerReilly@yahoo.com no later than Friday evening. Newton Nomadic Theater will recruit actors to read them—a different actor for each poem—and give you an on-the-air shout out for your contribution. On Sunday at 7:30 p.m., tune in here and enjoy!
