By all accounts, the valedictorianβs speech at Walpole High Schoolβs graduation was well received. The speaker, Vivian Ling, waxed poetic about burritos in what has become known as the βChipolte Graduation Speech.β
One problem: The speech wasnβt hers. It was plagiarized word for word from a speech given in 2006 at Wootton High School in Maryland.

As you might suspect, Walpoleβs principal was none too pleased that the schoolβs sharpest student made such a dumb move, and he let the world know in a public apology to the original author and those who were duped.
Give her credit: the valedictorian apologized, too.
