• Norwood Police Welcome Veteran Officer Ryan Ross (patch.com) — Norwood residents are getting to know a new face in town as veteran officer Ryan Ross joins the local police force after 16 years in Hingham. Recently sworn in by Town Clerk Mary Lou Folan, Ross is beginning Norwood's Field Training Program and says he's eager to meet community members. Police are encouraging residents to introduce themselves when they see him around Norwood.
   

• Federal Officers Arrest Man After Crash, Foot Chase In Norwood (patch.com) — Norwood residents saw a heavy law enforcement presence Thursday morning after federal officers pursued and arrested a man on Tremont Street following a crash and short foot chase. Homeland Security told Norwood police the suspect is wanted in Brazil in connection with a murder, though local officers did not release case details. Norwood police documented the crashes, and no injuries were reported.
