A body was recovered from the river Monday; an autopsy confirmed it was Hagmaier, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced Wednesday.

Hagmaier stabbed Rasmussen over 30 times, police said. Hagmaier's DNA was found on a sweatshirt and cigarette butt inside Rasmussen's apartment on Tide View Path in Plymouth. Her murder was not random, authorities said, though a motive has not been disclosed.
