Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

WORCESTER, MA — The man who was struck and <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/worcester/pedestrian-struck-shrewsbury-street-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">killed this week in Worceste</a>r while trying to cross Shrewsbury Street after has been identified as 70-year-old Theophilos Raptis.A woman is facing drunk driving and vehicle homicide charges after a Raptis was hit and killed as he tried to cross the area of 270 Shrewsbury St. on Wednesday night.Rebecca Brooks, 37, 24 Laurel Lane, Whitinsville, was charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of alcohol, and negligent motor vehicle operation.Brooks was driving down the street, near Steward Street, when she hit Raptis. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later at the hospital.The WPD Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the incident.
