Dog Dies In Somerville 2-Alarm Fire
No one was home when a fire broke out on Broadway Friday evening, but a dog died as a result of the blaze.
SOMERVILLE, MA — Crews have brought a two-alarm fire in Somerville under control, according to reports. The fire was reported at 868 Broadway, a two-and-a-half story building.
The Somerville Fire Department said in a tweet there was heavy smoke on all floors and smoke was coming from the roof. Crews from Cambridge and Medford responded to the scene as well.
Reports say no one was home at the time, but a dog died as a result of the fire.
