Child Rape, Armed Robbery Among Somerville Indictments

SOMERVILLE, MA – Two cases with ties to Somerville are among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Thursday announced indictments handed down between Nov. 29 and Jan. 10.

Both cases involve residents of other communities who are accused of crimes in Somerville:

Darvin Ramirez, 28, Everett, was charged with aggravated rape of a child and rape of a child by force. The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni.

Pernell Saunders, 53, of Boston, was charged with armed robbery, unarmed robbery, and being a habitual offender (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Ceara Mahoney.
