Cocaine Trafficking, Child Rape Among Somerville Indictments

Eight cases with ties to Somerville were announced in the latest round of Middlesex County indictments.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Eight cases with ties to Somerville are among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Thursday announced indictments handed down between Jan. 17 and April 29.

The cases involve people who are accused of crimes in Somerville or Somerville residents accused of crimes in other communities.

Everett

Jaime Amaya, 27, of Somerville, was charged with aggravated rape of a child (4 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Radu Brestyan.

Somerville

Shaun Clark, 41, was charged with larceny by a single scheme. The Assistant District Attorney is Doug Cannon.

Angel Colon, 36, of Framingham, was charged with possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, assault with a dangerous weapon, and receiving stolen property under $1,200. The Assistant District Attorney is Andrew Ineson.

William Freeman-Benjamin, 27, of Somerville, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder (2 counts), assault and battery by discharging a firearm, carjacking, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (2 counts), threatening to commit a crime (2 counts), reckless endangerment of a child, violating a restraining order, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, improper storage of a firearm, and being an armed career criminal. Jhonatan German, 29, of Boston, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of cocaine, distribution of cocaine, providing a false name to a law enforcement officer, and failure to appear in court. The Assistant District Attorney is Graham Van Epps.

Matthew Haley, 27, was charged with stalking in violation of a restraining order, violating a restraining order (2 counts), and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan.

David McCollin, 33, of Cambridge, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of cocaine and possession of a Class B substance. The Assistant District Attorney is Gabrielle Lomanno.

Francisco Romero, 48, of Somerville, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14 (2 counts) and indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14. The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni.
