ComedySportz Boston hosts the East Coast Cities Tournament
Great date night, fun on a budget, for the whole family (bring the teenager back into the fold), professional comedy improv sure to amuse!
ComedySportz Boston will host the franchise’s annual East Coast Cities Improv Tournament in Jamaica Plain (Friday) and Somerville (Saturday) the weekend of April 17- 18, 2015. This year improv professionals from New York City, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Richmond will visit Boston to compete against the home team in a series of improv games.
The ComedySportz format is two teams using audience suggestions and participation to create original, on-the-spot comedy sketches. A referee facilitates the match and ensures a rapid pace, explains the premise of each game to the audience and calls fouls for material not deemed family friendly. Shows are recommended for ages 7 and up.
