Commuter Rail Train Derails In Somerville
The derailment happened at "low speed" Tuesday morning.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A commuter rail train derailed in Somerville Tuesday morning, according to the MBTA. The agency said the derailment happened at "low speed" and the train was still upright. The train was traveling on the Rockport line.
There were about 300 passengers onboard, according to Boston 25. No injuries were reported.
Passengers were transferred to another train. The Rockport/Newburyport and Haverhill lines saw delays Tuesday morning

We've confirmed that this was a low speed upright derailment with no injuries. Another engine is being brought to assist and will tie together with Train 102 momentarily.
