Keeping Children Healthy From the Start: What Every Parent Should Know About Toxins

WELLESLEY, Mass., October 11th– The Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project invites the public to a lecture at the Wellesley Free Library’s Wakelin Room, October 11^th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., by Alice & Philip Shabecoff, authors of Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children. This free event is open to the public and includes informational resources. Coffee and dessert will be served 

Come to this forum to find out about solutions and actions you can take to reduce your child’s risk and to change the system, particularly in the early development stages from pre-natal to pre-K. 

Mr. Shabecoff, a nationally renowned journalist, was the chief environmental correspondent for The New York Times. He has appeared on CNN, C-span, Meet the Press, and Face the Nation.  Mrs. Shabecoff, a free-lance journalist who focuses on family and consumer issues, was the Executive director of the National Consumers League and of the National Community Information Exchange.

The Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group that studies the relationship between cancer and the environment with the goal of reducing health risk factors for residents of Wellesley and surrounding communities.
