Morse Constructions Recognized with Top Remodeling Award
Morse Constructions receives Gold Award for Interior Remodeling from Eastern MA National Assoc. of Remodeling Industry (EM NARI)
The Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (EM NARI) awarded Morse Constructions, Inc. of Somerville the 2015 EM NARI Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award in the category of Residential Interior remodeling.
Morse Constructions was honored to receive the Gold award for interior renovations for a project to maximize small space on the first floor of a Cambridge, MA home. Morse Constructions created free-flowing, open, airy spaces by replacing a bearing wall with a central beam, cleverly supported on one end by a chase to hold electrical and plumbing infrastructure. Seamless maple flooring, an eye-catching fireplace, space saving radiators, and a tranquil color scheme enlivened with strategic pops of color made the small first floor look and live large.
Morse Constructions also received a regional award in the national CotY competition for interior renovations in the northeast region between $75,000 and $150,000 for the Cambridge project. Morse Constructions will now be considered for a national CotY award to be announced in April.

“This wonderful recognition would not have been possible without our amazing team who worked so hard on both the project and the winning award entries. The high caliber of the project is also testimony to the great work of Elza B. Design, Jim Lavallee Plumbing and Puccio Electric, who collaborated with us on the home renovation,” says Paul Morse, founder of Morse Constructions.
Morse Constructions was presented the CotY Award at EM NARI’s Evening of Excellence event on Wednesday, March 4th at the Clarke Showroom in Milford, MA. This year, there were 24 CotY’s awarded across fourteen categories. A panel of four independent reviewers judged all the project entries in a blind evaluation. Projects were judged on a 70 point scale with points awarded for how well the project met the client’s needs and enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of the space, innovative uses of materials and methods, the ability to overcome obstacles creatively, the craftsmanship displayed in the work, and the presentation of the project.
