Penumbra:Movement presents Dark Shadows:Bright lights
An evening of jazz funk, contemporary, and jazz dance by Eugenia Kim, Wisty Andres, Mai Telesford, and guest artist Jacob Regan
Join us for an evening of new works featuring choreography by Eugenia Kim, Wisty Andres, and Mai A. Telesford along with special guests MOVE AND INSPIRE (6pm) and Jacob Regan! Featured dancers include: Wisty Andres, Amy Caine, Olivia Coombs, Sam Govoni, Victoria Fraza Kickham, Katie Suyematsu, and Mai A. Telesford.
The first half is a mix of jazz funk and contemporary dance followed by a suite of dances inspired by jazz music + dance, ballets from 1950s movie musicals, improv madness and the wonderful city of Portland, Oregon!
We have two showings: 6pm and 8pm. The first showing opens with the adorable MOVE AND INSPIRE kids while the second showing ends with a mini-reception with all the performers. Each showing also has a slightly different cast!
Ticket prices are the same for both times: $15 for adults, $12 for youth, students, seniors, and BDA members. http://penumbrarme.yapsody.com/
