River Bar Debuts Summer Tastes

Executive Chef Patrick Gilmartin is refreshing the menu at River Bar to capture the best tastes of summer’s bounty in his “haute cuisine meets take-out” concept at Assembly Row. Chef Gilmartin’s new creations can be enjoyed indoors or on River Bar’s expansive outdoor area that is complete with a four-sided bar lined with TVs, dueling al fresco lounges and fire-pits.

For new offerings available on both the lunch and dinner menus, Chef Gilmartin will dish out Crab & Celery Root Salad (breakfast radish, dill dressing - $13), Zucchini Pancake (roasted heirloom tomato butter - $8) and a Sausage Sandwich (housemade garlic sausage, sauerkraut, whole grain mustard - $13).

For dinner, this Assembly Row hotspot will serve up “small” additions like the Cucumber Kimchi ($6) and “large” options like Bluefish & Clams (black bean & garlic, haricot verts - $27), Beef Brisket Sandwich (lime crema, cotija cheese, heirloom tomato - $16) and Ratatouille (local tomatoes, squash, eggplant, puff pastry, polenta - $18).

For new sides, there is Creamy Polenta ($5) and Haricot Verts (black bean & garlic - $5).

These seasonal items will join Gilmartin’s signature offerings at River Bar, including the Grass-Fed Burger (bulgogi marinade, bacon spring rolls, spicy mayo - $15), Corned Beef & Cabbage Dumplings (rye dipping sauce - $10), Fried Lobster & Rice Cake (1lb lobster, spicy rice cakes, vegetables – MP) and Chicken Wings (sticky, sweet, spicy, walnuts - $12).
