Roast Beef Or Pizza? Upcoming Somerville Eatery Battleground For Shore Staples
The duo behind Mike & Patty's is putting roast beef and bar pizza under one roof at Bow Market.
SOMERVILLE, MA – Can't decide between roast beef or bar pizza? At North South, you won't have to. The restaurant serving both North Shore and South Shore staples, from the duo behind Mike & Patty's, will open at the upcoming Bow Market in Union Square, according to Boston Magazine.
Mike & Patty's owners Mike Gurevich and his wife, Ania Zaroda, hail from the North Shore. Their head chef, Jesse Rosen, is from the Stoughton area. Gurevich told Boston Magazine the concept of representing both regions made sense for the Union Square space.
The main draws of North South will be a roast beef three-way, topped with barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, and a revolving menu of thin-crusted bar pies, the magazine reported.
