Somerville Grand Jury Indictments: 2 Cases Announced

The Middlesex DA's office on Monday announced indictments handed down between July 12 and Aug 9.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Two cases with ties to Somerville are among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Monday announced indictments handed down between July 12 and Aug. 9.

Walter Komnenus, 59, of Somerville, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, subsequent offense, possession with the intent to distribute a Class B substance (2 counts), subsequent offense, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and being a habitual criminal (3 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Robert Meltzer.

Justin Mack, 27, of Boston, was charged with strangulation, suffocation, assault and battery on a household or family member (3 counts), malicious destruction of property over $250, breaking and entering with the intent to commit a misdemeanor, threatening to commit a crime, attempting to commit a crime, and witness intimidation. The Assistant District Attorney is Ceara Mahoney.
