Somerville Grand Jury Indictments: 6 Cases Announced

Six cases with ties to Somerville were announced by the Middlesex district attorney Wednesday.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Six cases with ties to Somerville are among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Wednesday announced indictments handed down as of Nov. 16. Four cases are alleged to have occurred in Somerville and two residents face charges in neighboring Medford.

Among the indictments is a 17-year-old boy charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of a Malden teen over the summer.

Martin Acosta-Rosario, 24, of Somerville, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Kleimola.

Leonard Boutilier, 47, of Charlestown, was charged with armed robbery, unarmed robbery, attempting to commit a crime (2 counts), and being a habitual criminal. The Assistant District Attorney is Elizabeth Barnes.

Lucio Martinez, 20, of Somerville, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Kleimola.

Jonathan Perry, 17, of Somerville, was charged as a youthful offender with manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. The Assistant District Attorney is Nicole Allain. >>>Read more about the case here.

Dee Johnson, 34, of Somerville, was charged with conspiracy in Medford. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.

Donald Johnson, 41, of Somerville, was charged with conspiracy and being a habitual offender in Medford. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.
