Somerville Teen Indicted In Shooting Death Of Malden 16-Year-Old
Also: five others accused of crimes connected to Somerville have been indicted by a Middlesex grand jury.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The suspect in the fatal shooting of a Malden teen in Somerville over the summer has been indicted by a grand jury, the Middlesex District Attorney's office announced Tuesday. Jonathan Perry, 17, has been indicted as a youthful offender on charges of manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in the death of 16-year-old Tenzin Kunkhyen.
Police found Kunkhyen with a gunshot wound to his chest around 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 at 14 Farragut Avenue in Somerville. He was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following the shooting, Perry fled the scene, according to the DA. His last known address was the residence where Kunkhyen was shot, authorities said.

Perry will be arraigned in Cambridge Juvenile Court on Oct. 18.

Martin Acosta-Rosario, 24, of Somerville, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Kleimola.
William Beers, 46, of Methuen, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 5th offense, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, subsequent offense, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol with a suspended license for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Arsenio Borges, 51, of Somerville, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over the age of 60, assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 causing bodily injury, assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 (2 counts), and witness intimidation. The Assistant District Attorney is Heidi Gosule.
Michael Grande, 33, of Medford, was charged with unarmed robbery. The Assistant District Attorney is Matthew Bailey.
Ginelle Thompson, 28, of Burlington, was charged with being an accessory before the fact. The Assistant District Attorney is Matthew Bailey.
