Somerville Man Charged With Armed Robbery At T Stop

Police said the 22-year-old threatened to shoot the victim, who he had arranged to meet up with to buy a pair of sneakers.

SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville man was charged with armed robbery after trying to steal a pair of shoes from another man and threatening to shoot him, police said. Kerby Cetoute, 22, arranged to meet the 25-year-old victim at the Quincy Center MBTA stop to buy a pair of sneakers, according to police.

Cetoute told the man to meet him at the far end of the platform and tried to take the sneakers from him, police said. He shouted, "I'll shoot you," which drew the attention of passersby and forced him to flee, according to police.

Cetoute was found nearby and identified by the victim, police said.
