Somerville Man Charged In Break-In On North Shore
Police say Christopher Carreiro, 36, stole cash and jewelry from a home in Rowley.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville man has been charged in connection with a break-in on the North Shore. Christopher Carreiro, 36, broke into a home on Haverhill Street in Rowley Aug. 5, according to police.
Carreiro stole cash and jewelry, later pawning much of the jewelry in Everett, police said. Investigators were able to match the description of items stolen in Rowley to jewelry pawned Aug. 14, according to police.
A homeowner reported a suspicious man who claimed to be a landscaper on the Newburyport Turnpike the same day as the break-in. Police said the caller gave investigators a license plate number, which was matched to a vehicle owned by Carreiro.
