Somerville Man Charged With Drunk Driving
A 70-year-old man was arrested Friday after police received reports of him driving erratically and an open container was found in his truck.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A Somerville man was arrested Friday and charged with drunk driving. Florencio Banos, 70, was behind the wheel of a blue pickup truck that was reportedly driving erratically. Police found the truck pulling out of a parking spot in the Washington Street area around 10:20 p.m.
Banos told police he was coming from a friend's house. He allegedly had slurred speech, glossy eyes and a smell of alcohol coming from his breath, according to the police report. Police asked him to get out of his car, and he allegedly was unsteady on his feet and used the truck to steady himself.
He told police he was drank "a few beers." Police found a can of beer sitting behind the cabin of the truck, and it was partially full and cool to the touch, leading them to believe it had recently been opened, the report stated.
