The 40-year-old was a scuba diver working with a commercial filming crew.

HELENA, MT — A scuba diver who drowned in a Montana lake this week has been identified as a Somerville man. Authorities say Jesse Travers Hubble, 40, suffered an apparent equipment malfunction at Canyon Ferry Lake Monday, the Associated Press reported.

Hubble was working with a commercial filming crew shooting a promotional video. He and another diver were in an area where the water was at least 60 feet deep.

Hubble's death was ruled accidental. Authorities are trying to determine what caused the equipment to fail.
