Dave Dersham was born in Eugene, Oregon, but spent his formative years in Amherst, MA and eventually attended Oberlin College. After a summer beneath the Tetons, teaching in the Black Hills, travel through Central America, and treks across southern Idaho, Dave finally came back east to join the Cambridge folk scene. He completed his first CD several years later. As a result, Dave was selected as a finalist for West Virginia’s Mountain Stage emerging artist competition. “The Burn of Summer” enjoyed regular airtime on Folk Radio’s WUMB and Emerson College’s WERS. Several years later, Dave returned to the Pioneer Valley, home of strong coffee, and strong women. Dave released his 2nd CD “Gilding the Lilies” in 2011. More at www.davedersham.com.
About Marc Herman
Marc Herman’s melodies breathe, sometimes floating into space above the steady pulse of a slow train through the mountains. His songs are windows that offer a glimpse into the heart of the human experience.
American Roots music informed Marc Herman’s earlier work, with his two full-length LPs benefiting from Americana-style instrumentation. He played stages across the U.S. and he was selected as a New Folk finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Following those records, he set off for 30 days of backpacking and soul-searching in Spain, returning to Massachusetts with a deeper appreciation for music as an expression of passion. Though his newer work is yet to be recorded, the tunes reflect a leaning toward indie folk-pop writers such as Benjamin Gibbard and Loney Dear. More at www.cdbaby.com/m/Artist/MarcHerman.

About Chris LaVancher
“LaVancher writes songs that tell stories of love among the ruins. His characters may not be from the highest rungs of society, but their feelings come through loud and clear.” - Darius Rips – Oliver di Place Music Blog
A 2014 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist, Chris LaVancher’s performance evokes a mini-movie festival in your head, complete with a full soundtrack. He writes cinematic, character driven songs – from a farm girl’s beauty-queen-moment in the 4th of July parade, to the wild cast of characters in a run-down traveling circus, to the gun-toting rube who falls victim to a young con-girl and her boyfriend Elvis. Chris grew up in the hills of North Central Pennsylvania, where he learned to observe the many wonderful characters that inhabited that little town. Today he lives just north of Boston, Massachusetts, but much of his inspiration still goes back to that little town in Pennsylvania. More at www.chrislavanchermusic.com.
