Coronavirus Forces Sudbury To Postpone Spring Election

A new date for the spring 2020 election has not been picked yet, according to town officials.

SUDBURY, MA — The latest fallout from the new coronavirus outbreak is Sudbury's 2020 spring election.

The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday voted to postpone the election to a date yet to be determined. The election was set to take place on March 30.

Wayland has also postponed its spring election, and officials there have said one must be held sometime before Oct. 12.

Sudbury voters who have already received an absentee ballot will still be able to use those to vote no matter when the election takes place. The voting registration deadline will also be pushed back, but that date won't be determined until a new Election Day is set.
